14 April - 25 September. The world-famous amusement park Tivoli Gardens is situated right in the centre of Copenhagen and features theatres, open air stages, restaurants, gardens whose trees sparkle with fairy lights in the dark and, of course, 26 fun rides.
Some of the park's most popular rides with both young and old visitors seeking an adrenalin rush include the Dæmonen (the Demon), Det Gyldne Tårn (the Golden Tower) and Himmelskibet (the Star Flyer) while for small children there is the Den flyvende Kuffert (the Flying Trunk), Dragebådene (the Dragon Boats in Tivoli Lake) and the Veteranbilerne which features slow-moving vintage cars on rails, as well as the Tivoli Boys' Guard and the Pantomime Theatre.
Tivoli's big attraction last year was Vertigo, the fastest interactive ride in northern Europe with a maximum speed of up to 100 km/h and 360 degree turns. The park's latest addition is a special playground for younger children called Petzi's World.
