3 December - 16 April 2011. The Det Kongelige Teater presents Giacomo Puccini's much-loved opera: La Bohème. This major production features a stellar cast selected from Denmark's favourite Royal Danish Opera performers.
Critics have hailed Mikael Melbye's version of the opera in four acts as stunning and atmospheric, perfectly conjuring up 19th century Paris.
Set in or around 1830, La Bohème tells the wonderfully bohemian but ultimately tragic story of the young poet Rodolfo and Mimi, who meet by candle light on a cold Christmas Eve and instantly fall in love.
