30 November - 1 February 2011. An extension of Denmark's Royal Library, the Black Diamond offers a range of cultural events throughout the winter, including classical concerts, exhibitions and lectures. Situated in Copenhagen's harbour, highlights of the Black Diamond's winter programme include Undercover: an exhibition that unveils selected works from the library's substantial art collection. On the literary front, the Diamond International Authors' Stage features participation from best-selling British author Philip Pullman, the German-Romanian nobel prize-winner Herta Müller, and American novelist and short story writer, Bret Easton Ellis. For music fans, the Diamond Ensemble performs a number of concerts featuring the music of Bach, Debussy and Schubert.
